The End of the Most Powerful Bennett Line

Guys, if they don’t bring Bonnie back as a witch (not some random immortal or ghost, whatever), the most powerful root of the Bennett line is severed! Completely! There will be no more Bennett witches from the strongest magical branch of the family tree… Lucy is powerful, but not nearly as powerful as Bonnie would have been. 

(Just like the Salvatore line ended with Zach’s death, The Forbes with Caro’s death, and the Petrova with Elena…)

I think I just broke my own heart.

edit: in response to the note on Katherine being able to carry on the Petrova line from RageandRapture — We still don’t know the effect the cure will have. Even though it may turn Kat “human,” there could very well be some side effects or intentional effects (perhaps like infertility in the event Silas wasn’t killed right away) that Quetsiyah had planned because the cure was only to be used on Silas… whom she was extremely mad at and wanted to hurt in any way possible. Making Silas unable to leave a legacy in the form of progeny is a good way to strike back at him, as a man and a witch.

Also, I doubt that Katherine will want to stay human long enough to have another child.

We just won’t know until next season, we’ll see how it all plays out.

How selfish of me to be indulging these precious moments with my formerly dead best friend. What upset me most about this scene is — Damon just stated that he thought something went wrong with Bonnie and the veil spell, basically insinuating that he thinks Bon may be in some kind of trouble and he is concerned… Then, usually caring and honorable, Stefan says what he says (up in that 1st gif) and then neither of them proceed to take any action, to find out what went wrong, to check and make sure their “friend” and resident witch is okay.  What? Even Damon, the initiator of the concern, didn’t do anything. All he had to do, if Stefan was intent on being douche-y and all “woe is me,” is say “Fine, you stay here and wallow in self pity, I’m gonna go make sure Bonnie is alright.” Then he could go be the Damon that he has been moving toward this season, one who started showing more and more concern and compassion for Bon (which could be the set up for potential Bamon in the coming season). So what happened here? Oh right, Bonnie is seemingly the only one expected to sacrifice everything, including her own life, for the good of others… Stefan, whom I love, only ever sacrifices anything when it comes to Damon or Elena… Heaven forbid they take time out of their exceedingly busy schedules of drinking, pining for Elena’s cooter, and whiney man-pain for 5 minutes to check on the girl who has repeatedly saved them and all their friends, who has lost everything important to her in an attempt to protect (and serve) her apparently ungrateful “friends” even though it goes against her very nature! You let me down TVD, and not gently either… I really expected more from you, even though you never give me a reason to…

So what happened on TVD?

Here is what I got from my dash. Bonnie is dead.Jeremy can kiss her but he can not say I love you to her. He won’t tell Elena she is is dead cause everything comes back to Elena. On the bright side Kennett were “doing it together”. What is it? I don’t know cause I couldn’t catch it through the fangirling. Also Bonnie tricked Kol but it was hot because it was Kennett. Stefan is Silas’ doppelganger and is apparently at the bottom of the ocean in a metal box. Elena declared Damon the worse choice and the chose him. Klaroline is still a thing apparently so I guess she will be Yetti Niklausson’s new momy. And the dish ran away with the spoon. Oh sorry…Matt went road tripping with Rebekah. Also Julie wants to be like BTVS, Angel, Twilight, Underworld,. Being Human, etc. etc, and so on and so forth…. and also people are done.

Stefan is going to repeatedly drown…

Poor Stefan! But… Where did the safe come from? It just appears. I doubt that Silas carried it from somewhere (like the boarding house, ‘cause I know there was a safe there, didn’t they lock Elena in the safe in the previous episode?) and Stefan didn’t bring it in the car, did he?

Anyway, is it possible that it’s somehow a projection? Silas is making Stef think he is locked in a safe… he wouldn’t be able to keep it up for long…

Doppel-twin powers are activated…

What if Tatia wasn’t the original in the “Petrova doppelgänger” line? What if whoever the human chick that Silas was in love with was, and that is how all this crazy doppelgänger stuff got started in the first place.

Qetsiyah immortal-spells him and kills the rival girl, Silas doppel-spells his girlfriend and himself (hoping he’ll be able to bring her back and hide in plain sight), then Qetsiyah buries him. And he gets in peoples heads spinning the tales that throw them off of his true history and why he needs to be raised, all the while trying to get someone to free him. He knew someone would be dumb enough to raise him one day, and all he’d have to do is wait for freedom and a doppel to be born. Perhaps he’s spent his 2000 years of solitude figuring out a way to put “original” girlfriend’s spirit/soul in the doppels body, this way he can still somehow get his love back with her original face (Elena/Katherine’s face)…

Anyway, just thought I’d throw that out there… I’m sure I could have said it better, or more concisely, and I know i probably left out some of my thoughts, but, nonetheless, there it is.

P.s. I’m still gutted over losing Bonnie & Stefan in this finale (and my Bamon feels are on overdrive), fingers crossed everything will work out. I know Stefan will be back (he’s the vampire who keeps the diaries, which is the premise, right?), but I am worried for Bonnie. Alas, never give up hope Bennett Brigade, never give up.
